We hired Maison Merritt to help plan and execute our son’s Bar Mitzvah. Working with Hayley Merritt was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We planned for months, and Hayley took every one of our hopes/wishes (big and small) seriously from the get-go. Her mantra all along was to get us what we wanted or at least as close as possible to it within our budget and vision.
There were a lot of moving parts and considerations as our venues were unique, a school and a ski mountain that turns into an adventure park in the summer, and does not frequently host events of this kind.
Hayley took our vision and completely transformed both venues into spaces that felt deeply personal and incredibly special.
Her organizational skills are second to none; she helped manage every detail of our complex timeline, from vendor coordination to on-site logistics, with total professionalism. On the day of the event, we were able to be fully present with our guests because we had total confidence that Hayley had everything under control. She even handled the unique 'Vermont' challenges—like a surprise bear guest—with grace and a smile!

“Hayley was our day-of coordinator for our October 2025 wedding in Burlington, VT, and we maintain the day simply could NOT have happened without her! Even writing this now, I'm sure there were so many details throughout the day that Hayley took care of that I don't even know about. To start, Hayley was there for us the whole weekend, from setup the day before, to rehearsal the night before, and as early as 8am to as late as midnight the day of. Our venue didn't come with anything but catering, so we had a LOT of vendors to coordinate with, from florals to tent and table rentals and even to bathrooms. My brain was scrambled just thinking about it all, but Hayley had everything organized, coordinated, and communicated before I could even try. Pretty much our entire reception space was beautifully arranged by her. Day of, I don't think I worried about a single thing because everything was already taken care of by Hayley. After a year of planning, I was truly able to just enjoy my day and that experience is truly priceless. My now husband can also be a huge worrywart, so it really takes someone special to handle things to an extent that even he had the most carefree day! We were also so caught up in the whirlwind of it all there is absolutely no way everything would have happened on time without her either. We were shocked to learn that Hayley was just starting her event planning business afterwards - she was so professional and experienced that we thought she'd been doing it for years!
